Chilled Rose Tea with Orange Slices

If you're stuck for a thirst-quenching, non-alcoholic, sugar-free drink on a hot summers day then look no further. I recently rustled up this concoction and it was delicious. Roses have been used for generations as a herbal remedy for relieving symptoms of PMS, but this tea can be enjoyed at any time of the month as it has so many other benefits including calming the mind and soothing the nervous system. From a Chinese medicine point of view, it is great for any issues with heart Qi. Enjoy! Place 2 tablespoons of organic dried rosebuds or petals (available from health food suppliers) into a teapot Pour over 250ml of water from a just boiled kettle Allow to stand and cool to room temperature (approx 3 hours) Strain into a serving jug Add orange slices Serve with ice or without, according to taste
